Major Functions of Planning and Business Development Division
- Execution the project of Mining, Pumping and Stockpiling of sand from off-shore at Kerawalapitiya
- Planning Work
- Preparation of Strategic Plan and Annual Activity Plan.
- Progress monitoring and reviewing of Treasury funded projects/programmes.
- Coordinating with Line Ministry, Budget Department and Department of National Planning.
- Reporting of progress of projects to Line Ministry, Ministry of Finance, Presidential Secretariat and District Coordinating Committees.
- Managing of Revenue Generation Activities of following locations
- Diyatha Uyana
- Bellanwila
- Kelimadala
- Kattiya Junction
- Sooriyamal Mawatha
- Kimbulawala
- Renting of locations for erection of hoardings for advertisements
- Renting of water body for operating boats
- Selling of off-shore sand for the construction industry
- Identifying new revenue generation activities
